Itinerary
DAY 01: ARRIVAL – GUWAHATI AIRPORT → KAZIRANGA (250 Kms / 5 Hrs Drive)
Arrive at Guwahati Airport. Meet and greet by our representative.
Begin your scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for the One-Horned Rhinoceros.
Check in to your resort and relax.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Assamese cultural dance performance showcasing the vibrant heritage of Assam. (Entry fees direct)
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
DAY 02: KAZIRANGA SAFARI & LOCAL VISITS
Early Morning :
Proceed for an exciting Elephant Safari into the grasslands of Kaziranga where you may spot Rhinos, Deer, Wild Buffaloes and a variety of birds.
Return to hotel for breakfast.
Enjoy a thrilling Jeep Safari in the Central / Western Range of the National Park accompanied by a trained forest guide.
Visit a local Assamese Village to witness the rural lifestyle.
Drive past Tea Gardens—capture scenic views of emerald plantations.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
DAY 03: KAZIRANGA → SHILLONG (290 Kms / 6.5 Hrs Drive)
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, also known as the Scotland of the East.
En route, stop at the breathtaking Umiam Lake (Barapani)—a vast serene reservoir surrounded by pine forests. Spend time for photography and leisure.
Evening at leisure to explore local markets / cafés.
Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 04: SHILLONG → CHERRAPUNJEE SIGHTSEEING (60 Kms / 2 Hrs One Way)
After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee, once the wettest place on Earth.
En Route Visits
• Elephant Falls – a three-step cascading waterfall.
• Shillong Peak – panoramic view of Shillong city from the highest point.
At Cherrapunjee:
Explore nature’s marvels including:
✔ Mawsmai Cave – natural limestone formations
✔ Mawsmai Falls
✔ Seven Sisters (Nohsngithiang) Falls
✔ Nohkalikai Falls – India’s tallest plunge waterfall
After Lunch, visit:
• Arawah Cave – known for its stunning stalactite patterns
• Koh Ramhah rock formation
• Khrem Falls
Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
DAY 05: CHERRAPUNJEE → MAWLYNNONG → DAWKI → SHILLONG
After breakfast, proceed to Mawlynnong Village, declared Asia’s Cleanest Village. Enjoy the manicured pathways, flowering gardens and bamboo dustbins—nature and culture living together!
Highlights:
• 80 ft Sky Walk – bamboo viewpoint offering a sweeping view of Bangladesh plains.
• Experience Khasi tribal culture & lifestyle.
Trek to Rewai Village
• Walk down approx. 100 steps to witness the famous Living Root Bridge—handcrafted by intertwining tree roots over decades, strong enough to last 500–600 years!
Proceed to Dawki
• Visit the breathtaking Umngot River—its crystal-clear waters make boats look like they are floating mid-air!
Enjoy a Country Boat Ride on the emerald river.
Drive up to the India-Bangladesh Border.
Late evening return to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 06: SHILLONG → LAITLUM CANYON → GUWAHATI (120 Kms / 3 Hrs Drive)
After early breakfast, check out from hotel.
Visit the spectacular Laitlum Canyon, known as the Amphitheatre of Meghalaya, offering breathtaking views of deep gorges wrapped in clouds.
Quick visit to Wards Lake (often referred to as Wade Lake) to see the cherry blossoms when in season.
Drive back to Guwahati.
Evening:
Enjoy a delightful Brahmaputra River Cruise, witnessing the sunset, music, and the majestic river ambience.
Overnight stay in Guwahati.
DAY 07: GUWAHATI – DEPARTURE
After breakfast, check out and visit the sacred Shri Kamakhya Devi Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas. (Special Darshan charges directly payable)
Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport for your return journey with fond memories.
