Day 01
ARRIVAL & LEISURE IN NATURE
Check-in at Hotel Deccan Park Resort, Ooty at 2:00 PM. First, we will visit the Government Botanical Garden. One of the most beautiful botanical gardens in India, the Botanical Garden has over 650 species of plants including rare ferns, orchids and bonsai trees. It was established by the British in 1848. After that, we will explore the Ooty Rose Garden. It is a home to over 20,000 varieties of roses including miniature, hybrid and uniquely colored varieties. A visual feast especially during the flowering period. Return to the resort in the evening and find time for leisure activities like music, light games and snacks by the warmth of the fire.
Day 02
PEAKS,VIEWS & LAKESIDE FUN
Day begins at 8:00 AM with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, setting the tone for a scenic and activity-filled day.We will drive to Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiri Hills, standing tall at 2,637 meters. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding hills and distant plains. Don’t miss a quick visit to the telescope observatory for an even closer look at the stunning landscape.After that we will head to the Ketti Valley View Point, often called the “Switzerland of South India.” This viewpoint offers a sweeping view of one of the largest valleys in the world, blanketed in greenery and dotted with charming houses and tea estates.Lunch is scheduled for 12:30 PM at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy a taste of regional cuisine and relax before the next adventure.At 2:00 PM, head to the picturesque Ooty Lake, an artificial lake created in 1824. Here, you can indulge in pedal or row boating, take a ride on the mini train, or simply unwind with lakeside snacks amidst a peaceful setting.Next, at 4:00 PM, visit the nearby Thread Garden, a unique exhibit showcasing intricate flowers and plants made entirely by hand using thread and wire—crafted without the use of any machines or needles. It’s a testament to extraordinary craftsmanship and patience.By 5:00 PM, dive into the vibrant atmosphere of the Ooty Market at Upper Bazaar Road. This bustling local market is the perfect place to shop for street souvenirs, aromatic teas, homemade chocolates, and other local goodies.Finally, at 7:30 PM, wrap up your day with a relaxing dinner and some leisure time to reflect on the beautiful experiences of the day.
Day 03
SCENIC FAREWELL TO OOTY
The day begins bright and early with a wholesome breakfast at 7:30 AM, allowing you to enjoy the morning freshness of Ooty one last time.By 9:00 AM, we will check out from the hotel and begin your onward journey toward Coimbatore, making a picturesque stop along the way.At 9:30 AM, visit the serene Pykara Lake and Waterfalls, located approximately 23 kilometers from Ooty—a 45 to 55-minute drive through the lush landscape of the Nilgiris. Nestled amid dense shola forests, Pykara Lake is known for its calm, clear waters and offers boating opportunities in a peaceful, natural setting. A short distance away, the Pykara Waterfalls tumble gracefully over rocky cliffs, creating a breathtaking sight and a perfect photo opportunity.This visit to Pykara provides a refreshing and memorable farewell to the hills before continuing Our journey toward kochi.
